For a blog that suppose to be about planning issues, I've realized that I have barely any in here. Which isn't surprising because planning is boring.. At least its not as exciting as they make it out on the news.
from what I've noticed there are the same recurring issues in most planning actions. Since most planning is essentially community planning, in an urban environment, there tend to be a great many residential and public concerns that arise... But their always the same ones.
1. Building height
2. Traffic
3. Community services
if you were to take a look at the council agenda, you would generally find it chock full of applications for demolished permits, building permits, traffic studies, community action plans, etc., etc.,when these things come up they always seem important, they always have some relevance to someone. But they are piss boring to report on! And its so dry!...
